WCSMO 2025 has set up the following three excursion courses. When you register for WCSMO 2025, you can choose which course to attend. Each course has a seating capacity, and when the capacity is reached, the course will be closed for the registration.
Himeji Castle (姫路城) is a Japanese castle which is in Himeji in Hyōgo Prefecture. It is a Japanese National Cultural Treasure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can enter Himeji Castle on foot with English guides. Please note that Himeji Castle has many and steep staircase.
SPring-8 (an acronym of Super Photon Ring – 8 GeV) is a synchrotron radiation facility. It was developed jointly by RIKEN and the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute, and is owned and managed by RIKEN, and run under commission by the Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute. The machine consists of a storage ring containing an 8 GeV electron beam. The person in charge of SPring-8 will teach the structure and the detail.
Destination 1: Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution
On January 17, 1995, Kobe, Osaka and the surrounding area were rocked by a massive earthquake.
We can study to spread the word about a vital phase of local history and ensure that the lessons of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake are never forgotten at Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution.
Destination 2: Arima Onsen (有馬温泉)
Arima Onsen is an onsen, or hot springs in Kita-ku, Kobe, Japan.
Arima Onsen was named in the Heian-period The Pillow Book as one of the three famous springs in Japan.
We can walk the onsen town for shopping, eating and Foot bath during 90 minutes.
There will be not any guides.
